The first description of how autonomic and fibromyalgia mechanisms affect the intensity of rheumatoid arthritis was presented at the Innovative Therapies for Autoimmune Disease conference in San Francisco (2001) sponsored by the American College of Rheumatology and at the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) in Stockholm, Sweden (2002). Methodology to measure autonomic influence of autoimmune disease activity in clinical practice was presented at the British Society for Rheumatology in Edinbrough, Scotland (2003).
New treatment and diagnostic strategies are currently under proprietary development.
