Our goal at Inmedix is to discover and commercialize novel, effective pharmaceutical protocols  to improve the lives of people worldwide.   Research and discovery have focused on the Central Nervous System to address Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS) and other painful rheumatic conditions.

After over a decade of research, headed by Seattle based rheumatologist and Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington, Andrew J. Holman, MD, a variety of innovative pharmaceuticals have been discovered to effectively treat FMS.   The company concentrated its initial research and development efforts on FMS because millions suffer daily from debilitating pain and fatigue in the absence of an FDA approved treatment.

In 2005, a rigorous Phase II randomized, placebo-controlled, parallel group trial of pramipexole demonstrated the highest response rate of any Fibromyalgia trial to date.  Although first developed for treatment of Parkinson's disease, US and international patents have already been granted describing the use of this medication and other dopamine agonist for treatment of FMS.

Based on our studies and seven years of clinical experience in over 2500 patients, dopamine agonists substantially reduce and occasionally eliminates fatigue, pain and functional impairment for even severe narcotic dependent FMS. (In the pramipexole Phase II clinical study, 82% noted decreased pain and 42% achieved > 50% reduction in pain).

It is estimated that 6-10 million people suffer from FMS in the United States as well as an estimated 2-4% of the world's population.

We at Inmedix are committed to continuing our high quality medical discovery with world class research, creative innovation and solid results.
